The Third Saturday Outreach was created to gather fellow believers on a monthly basis to assist with educating our community regarding the facts surrounding the murder of our unborn neighbors.  We will be holding signs, displaying images and handing out gospel tracts highlighting the truth of abortion and what God has to say about the value of human life.

sidewalk counseling

     Sidewalk counselors are not protestors.  We are advocates for life and the final voice for the voiceless on the day their mother's have elected to end a life God has created.  We are prepared to offer counsel, alternatives and resources to any mother that will choose life. We attempt to call out peacefully to the mothers and fathers that are entering the abortion facility; Proverbs 15:1 says, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." 
    While it is preferable to speak directly to the mother or father of the child, many abortion mills have purposely designed their entryways to prohibit such interaction. Our goal is to speak the truth of God's authoritative word; God is the creator of life (Genesis 1:27); To take the life of another human is murder (Exodus 20:13);  God is perfectly just and will judge us for our sin (2 Corinthians 5:10); There is forgiveness, hope and redemption only in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23; 1 John 1:9).    
     While outside of the abortion mill we pray for the life of each baby that is scheduled to be murdered. We pray for a miraculous work of the spirit to convict the hearts of the mother, father, community and abortion workers; that they would repent and turn from death to life (Acts 26:18). 
     It has been said that God does not call the prepared, but rather prepares those whom He has called. God can and will use your obedience for His good will and purpose.  Our presence is rarely welcomed at the abortion mill.  You will meet resistance from the patients, staff members and community.  You will meet resistance from the enemy himself.  It is vital that you maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor despite the hostility that you will encounter.

Church AMBASSADOR

Proverbs 6:16 says, "There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him; haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood...".  Proverbs 24:11 says, "Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter".  1 John 3:28 says, "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth." The murder of the innocent is not a political issue, it is a God issue.  How can we who claim to love God choose to be silent?  We are called to speak truth even when it is in clear opposition to what the culture has deemed acceptable.  As a church ambassador you will raise awareness within your congregation and help to convict and empower your brothers and sisters in Christ to be on mission for the lives of the unborn.  Help encourage and facilitate others to speak up and become more involved in becoming a voice for the voiceless.

Our youth is predominately indoctrinated by secular sex education programs, social and main stream media.  Most young men when asked about their opinion on abortion will state that they feel it is a women's right to choose.  Most young women say it is the right of a mother to choose (even if they themselves claim it is not a decision they themselves would make). Sadly, these responses are rarely backed by any real knowledge of fetal development or abortion facts. The average youth are unaware that the heart begins to beat 18 days after conception; that science confirms that the life of a distinct human being is present at conception; that the sensation of pain can be interpreted as early as 13 weeks of age.  They are also unaware of the malicious techniques that are used to abort babies past 10 weeks of age. There are many gospel centered resources available if we the church would rise up and make the effort to get them into the hands of our youth. Handing out resources at your local high-schools, college campuses, movie theaters or malls are just a few arenas where we can make a difference.  We must battle indoctrination with education.

Approximately 40% of abortions are performed via the abortion pill method. Unfortunately the abortion industry is not required, nor do they chose to inform their clients that it may be possible to safely reverse the effects of the first abortion pill if taken in time (see the "abortion education tab"). Visiting the abortion facilities in your area on a regular basis to leaflet this life-affirming resource can be a great way to ensure the abortion vulnerable clients are being reached in time!   This is a FREE resource that is SAFE for both the mother and child, and is an option everyone should know about!  Please feel free to contact us with questions or recommendations surrounding the type of materials to distribute, or to inquire about the abortion facility you plan to visit.
